Repent and believe in the good news!

About Our Church

Hillcrest was founded in 1960. Since that time, the church facilities have expanded to provide ample space for worship, education, ministry and fellowship. Constructed on one level, the facilities provide complete access for all. Church property includes several acres for recreation and future development.

The original members of Hillcrest came from a sister church upon seeing the need for a Baptist church in this community. Since those early days, the church family has grown by reaching community residents of all ages and backgrounds. Hillcrest members are friendly people who love God and each other, and have a heart for the community.

The members of Hillcrest Baptist Church are actively committed to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ to make disciples. The Bible is the Word of God and has the power to transform the lives of those who hear it, understand it, apply it and obey it. The result is a mature believe who impacts the culture in which he or she lives and works.

Hillcrest is a Southern Baptist church, cooperating with the North Carolina Baptist State Convention and Central Triad Baptist Association. Hillcrest supports missions worldwide through prayer, financial gifts through the Southern Baptist Cooperative Program and seasonal missions offerings, and through participating in opportunities with the International Mission Board and North American Mission Board.
